Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various television dramas by the time she was sixteen. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra's career has seen her work on a number of important national and international projects. Among others, these projects include British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as many other. She also served in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
