Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become a professional actor since she was six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school with part-time courses. She had already performed in a variety of Stagecoach as well as school plays before she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's first cinematic appearance was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It broke all records in beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature in 2001. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film as well as the performances by the three main young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma was later awarded five prizes for her performance in the movie.
