Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 in 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Her birthplace was Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. After her successful performance as a single mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Following that she was a part of comedies as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. In addition to her role as a Secret Service agent, she also appeared in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). The most recent roles include the protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). The debut of Gyllenhaal as a writer and director came in 2021 when she wrote The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama for which she received an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
